Current exhibition : Enclosure: Vessels

CGS Latest

Are you an international glass artist, or do you know a glass artist outside of the UK that would be interested in taking part in a free online glass exhibition? If so, send the following details to Nicola Schellander at info@cgs.org.uk: 1 photo of your piece (jpeg, no larger than 500kb), Date made, Artist Name (your website if you have one), Photographer, Description ( e.g. technique used) Country where you live. The deadline is 30th January 2012.

The Enclosure:Vessels Gallery exhibition has been launched. The vessel is functional and enveloping, it embodies the preservation of materials, the containment of things precious to us, it symbolises fragments of history, reflects the every day, and conversely the revered. A vessel tells a story, from where it came, and its reason for being. These 33 artists reveal their own story and their relationship with what a vessel means to them.
